Marcos Krivocapich is an author, puppeteer, and multimedia performing artist. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1996. He studied Linguistics at the Faculty of Philosophy and Literature at the University of Buenos Aires. His work mainly centers on experimentation across different formats and genres, political satire, and research on the role of collective intelligence in creative processes, as well as ways to represent contemporary issues influenced by new communication technologies and methods of information reproduction and distortion. Between 2014 and 2018, he was part of the multidisciplinary collective Selección Sub 23. This group, which eventually included 22 members, created more than 15 shows in venues like Centro Cultural Recoleta, TV Pública, Caras y Caretas 2037, and ND Teatro. Each performance was a single-show event. In 2019, alongside Teo López Puccio, Lula Fenomenoide, Donna Sanguinetti, and Micaela Amaro, he co-founded the company estudio qp, where he works as co-author, co-director, and puppeteer/performer. With this group, he has developed the following shows: Quiero Pertenecer (2019), a cabaret show about an alien seeking to conquer Earth through song; PIRAMIDAL (2023), a musical satire based on a real-life Ponzi scheme in Argentina, which premiered at Centro Cultural 25 de Mayo; and EL SUCESO (2024), a technological fable about the implications of mystification and hyperconnectivity, which premiered at the Centro Cultural de la Memoria Haroldo Conti, located in the former Escuela de Mecánica de la Armada. In 2022, his show Dirección Desconocida won the Production Award at the Biennial of Young Art in Buenos Aires. In 2023, he was selected to participate in the R-Evolution residency, where he developed the project The Virgin Walk in collaboration with Giorgia Lolli and Chiara Virgilio. In 2024, dam.nation, a project in development with Milton Lim and Patrick Blenkarn, received a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. He has also published the novels Pedir amor a gritos (2019), Esta ciudad es hermosa (2021), and Actualización pendiente (2023), the latter co-authored with Magrio González. He has a dog named Morales.
